4 weeks, 1 day

The Namibia International Energy Conference (NIEC) is excited to announce its 7th edition, scheduled for April 23-25, 2025, in Windhoek, Namibia. Organized by RichAfrica Consultancy and endorsed by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the African Energy Chamber, this flagship event will bring together local and global energy leaders, investors, service companies, and financial institutions under the theme, “Leading The Way: Becoming An Energy Hub with In-Country Value.”

This year’s theme underscores Namibia's emergence as a regional energy hub, leveraging its abundant oil, gas, and renewable resources to attract global investment. As Namibia moves forward, it is essential to ensure that local industries and communities benefit from the development of its significant Orange Basin hydrocarbon discoveries. The conference will focus on promoting sustainable growth by exploring dynamic investment opportunities aimed at expanding infrastructure, building local capacity, improving access to finance, and enhancing regulatory frameworks.

Attendees at NIEC 2025 will engage in discussions covering Namibia’s latest offshore discoveries, energy security, and renewable project rollouts, including green hydrogen initiatives. The event will also delve into the intersection of Namibia’s energy sector and the critical metals industry, emphasizing its role in broader economic and industrial development. Additionally, an interactive exhibition will allow companies to showcase innovative technologies shaping the future of Namibia’s energy landscape, with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship.

With an anticipated attendance of over 900 delegates, including industry experts and decision-makers, NIEC 2025 will serve as a vital platform for forging strategic partnerships to expedite Namibia's transformation into a regional energy hub. The conference will also feature the Future Energy Leaders Initiative, which aims to engage youth in the energy sector, providing mentorship and skill development opportunities. Selma Shimutwikeni, CEO of RichAfrica Consultancy, emphasized that this year's conference is a catalyst for meaningful action, fostering collaborations that drive investments and advance exploration efforts in Namibia.
