Saudi Aramco has signed contracts worth $7.7 billion for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a significant expansion of a large gas project. The project aims to increase the processing capacity of the Fadhili gas plant from 2.5 billion to about 4 billion standard cubic feet per day. This expansion is part of Saudi Aramco's strategy to increase gas production and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The project is expected to be completed by November 2027 and will also increase sulfur production by 2,300 metric tons per day. The contracts for the project were awarded to Samsung Engineering, GS Engineering and Construction, and Nesma & Partners. The Fadhili gas plant is a crucial facility for Saudi Aramco, supporting the Kingdom's energy and fuel demands.
