TANZANIA: PERMANENT SECRETARY OF ENERGY EMPHASIZES EFFICIENCY IN SERVICE DELIVERY IN THE ENERGY SECTOR.

On October 2, 2024, in Dodoma, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Hon. Felchesmi Mramba, convened a meeting with ministry staff to address various concerns and provide clarification on employment-related issues. This gathering aimed to enhance the ministry's efficiency in serving Tanzanians, bringing together senior leaders, management, and employees to emphasize the importance of collaboration in achieving organizational goals.

During the discussions, Hon. Mramba stressed that each employee must perform their duties with professionalism to ensure quality service delivery to citizens. He highlighted the energy sector's critical role as a pillar of the country's economy, asserting that effective performance could significantly contribute to national economic growth.

Mr. Mramba also addressed the ongoing construction of a new office building for the ministry, noting that the facility will include offices for drivers. He encouraged staff to visit the site to observe the project's progress firsthand, fostering a sense of ownership and involvement among employees.

Additionally, the Permanent Secretary urged staff to cultivate a culture of physical exercise to improve their health and prevent various diseases, particularly non-communicable illnesses. Dr. Khatibu Kazungu, the Deputy Permanent Secretary in charge of Electricity and Renewable Energy, was also present and pledged to work collaboratively to ensure that ministry activities are carried out effectively, promoting national development. This meeting underscores the ministry’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and the overall health and productivity of its workforce.
