Notable projects such as the Nyerere Hydropower Plant and the Likong’o-Mchinga Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant are anticipated to enhance the country’s energy capacity, demonstrating the government’s commitment to fostering an environment conducive to investment.
The exhibition, which spanned three days, showcased leading companies from countries including China, India, Germany, and South Africa, among others. Kigahe reaffirmed the Tanzanian government’s dedication to supporting the energy sector's growth through various policies and regulations, such as the Electricity Act and the Rural Energy Act. These initiatives aim to bolster private-sector participation and promote sustainable energy practices, which are crucial for driving economic development and improving the quality of life for Tanzanians.
