Vedanta Oil and Gas shares rose 6% on Monday after gaining 8.5% in the previous session, following strong second-quarter results for FY27. The company's net profit reached Rs 746 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 91 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue increased by 6% year-on-year to Rs 2,488 crore, while EBITDA grew by 34% to Rs 1,393 crore. The improved performance was supported by higher price realisations and cost optimisation.
The two-day rally added nearly Rs 1,580 crore to the company's market capitalisation, taking it above Rs 12,474 crore. Despite the recent gains, the stock has experienced a significant decline since its separate listing in June, falling from its July high of Rs 47.60 to a record low of Rs 26.41 last week.
